Genworth Financial Investments Operations Analyst (Reporting) in Stamford, Connecticut


The Investments Operations Analyst, Reporting is responsible for the creation of investments materials and reports for internal and external audiences. The individual in this role will work with business users to understand data and reporting requirements and create reports and presentations to support business initiatives. The successful candidate will be able to leverage their reporting expertise to help implement a new reporting environment in our enterprise data management system. This role will also collaborate with Investments teams to identify and maximize opportunities to improve investments data, analytics, and business processes.


  • Assist in the design, implementation, and configuration of the Investments reporting strategy in the enterprise data management system

  • Build and maintain reports using a variety of tools (Business Objects, OLAP)

  • Conduct data analysis as needed to complete assignments and ad-hoc data requests

  • Work with Investments teams to understand business data needs and provide accurate and timely data related to the investment portfolio

  • Participate or lead ad hoc projects as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related technical discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services or investments

  • Strong knowledge of asset management, specifically Fixed Income Products

  • Advanced PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to differing audiences

  • Ability to conduct analysis and generate conclusions within a dynamic and active environment with little advanced notice

  • Ability to balance managing multiple tasks, projects and processes


  • MBA and/or CFA Certification

  • Experience with Eagle Pace, BlackRock Aladdin, and Business Objects

  • Experience in an insurance company
