Genworth Financial Senior Analyst, Loss Forecasting & Analysis in Raleigh, North Carolina

YOUR ROLE

US Mortgage Insurance (USMI) seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A professional who strives to be part of a high-performing team of finance professionals to lead financial analysis around losses and reserves. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding analytical skills to accurately forecast and analyze losses and regularly present results to a wide variety of constituents including the CEO and senior management team. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with USMI Controllership to present monthly and quarterly results, analyze business drivers and financial performance, and support financial statement closing process.

  • Forecast and analyze losses and reserves and identify relevant factors impacting performance through collaboration with the Actuarial, Risk and Loss Mitigation teams

  • Create robust materials explaining business results, variances, and forecast changes to senior leadership with effective and targeted communication

  • Constantly strive to continuously improve work product and processes with focus on automation, efficiency, and expanding the technology impact to loss analytics

  • Work closely with USMI Actuary on reserve analysis to ensure alignment in messaging between performance and indications

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. degree in Finance/Accounting

  • 7+ years of finance experience

  • Detail oriented with very strong, proven analytical abilities

  • Strong financial modeling skills utilizing Excel and SAS

  • Proficiently work with large data sets to draw conclusions and summarize findings

  • Strong written, verbal, communication skills

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across functions on projects and analysis

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Ability to execute under aggressive deadlines

  • Respond quickly and decisively to changing circumstances

  • Model a positive, can-do orientation when responding to challenges
