Led by our Chief Investment Officer, the Investment Department manages a consolidated investment portfolio of nearly $75 billion and consists of investment professionals focused on portfolio management, risk management, asset management, derivatives, operations, finance and accounting functions.


The individual in the analyst role will be a member of the Private Placement and Alternative Asset team and will specifically support the Private Placement team and its portfolio. The successful candidate will provide analytics and reporting support for the Private Placement portfolio. The analyst will be responsible for helping evaluate new investment opportunities and monitoring existing portfolio positions.


  • Support members of the team with credit and sector research, due diligence, analysis, reporting, and trade processing

  • Assist with other team process and reporting responsibilities (e.g. pricing, compliance, audit, etc.)

  • Respond to information requests and perform portfolio analyses for senior management to include tracking and analyzing team deal flow.

  • Contribute to the production of monthly credit surveillance reports and quarterly accounting valuations

  • Monitor and analyze the performance and composition of the private placement portfolio

  • Develop and present analysis, both verbally and in writing, to the Private Placement team and across other asset teams

  • Under supervision, maintain an assigned portfolio of credits with respect to evaluating, analyzing, and reporting on each credit’s financial reporting, news releases, investor meetings, rating agency actions, and other inputs

  • Develop basic understanding of Private Placement covenants and structures


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area of study

  • 1-3 years relevant finance or investment experience

  • Ability to read and understand financial statements

  • Strong functional capability with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications

  • Good written and verbal communications skills with ability to clearly articulate and share opinions

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment


  • Understanding of fixed income mathematics

  • CFA or candidacy
