POSITION SUMMARY

Genworth Financial’s US Life Insurance division is looking for a Rate Implementation Manager to coordinate In Force Management rate increase initiatives. This role will be responsible for the execution of approved rate increases on long term care insurance policies including where Genworth serves as the administrator.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate filing and objection response activities with actuarial consulting firm and reinsurer

  • Prepare documentation and support materials for meetings with state departments of insurance

  • Coordinate implementation requirements with Operations and IT

  • Prepare various presentations, as needed, for updates to Genworth senior leadership & reinsurer

  • Coordinate with a variety of constituencies to ensure progress on obtaining approvals and implementing rate increases, coordinated efforts among the involved parties, timely resolution of issues, and timely/effective communications

  • Assist with communication to reinsurer on matters that relate to rate increases

  • Develop and manage project plans as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5-10+ years of experience in Financial Services /Insurance industry on large scale projects/initiatives

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities, creative energy and demonstrated thought leadership

  • Strong personal initiative, bias for action and history of delivering on difficult assignments

  • Adept at working in matrix environment, building highly effective relationships and working across organizational boundaries

  • Passionate team player that consistently demonstrates a positive attitude

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with Long Term Care Insurance and/or associated rate increases
